Beginning in January 2017, Visiting Physician Services became one of the few house call practices in NJ to participate in Medicare's innovative Comprehensive Primary Care Plus initiative designed to provide improved access to quality healthcare at lower costs. On December 2, 2016, the Asbury Park Press featured an article on the VNA Health Group and Visiting Physician Services entitled "Visiting Nurse Association: Tidal Wave Coming." Dr. Steven Landers, CEO of VNA Health Group, explores the impact that in-home care has on patient's lives as well as on the overall health care system.
Dr. Jon Salisbury was featured in a recent Medical Economics article published on 10/10/16 entitled, "New financial model may provide future for home visits." It discusses the Independence at Home (IAH) demonstration and the resurgence of house calls.

Over the past few months, Visiting Physician welcomed three new physicians to its staff: Dr. Sara Leonard covering Ocean County, Dr. Diane MacKenzie covering Monmouth County and Dr. Jill Butler servicing Passaic and Bergen Counties.
Evan Rubin, D.O., of Visiting Physician Services, was a moderator/panelist at the WEForum, Women's Health & Wellness Conference on April 20, 2016 in Long Branch. His topic was "Prevention is the New Intervention: Feeling Better without Drugs."

On January 1, 2015, Visiting Physician Services joined forces with the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) Health Group to better serve the frail elderly and homebound in New Jersey who need health care at home. The combined organization is now New Jersey’s largest provider of comprehensive home-based primary care and will be the first time in the state that a visiting nurse association will operate a visiting physician service company.
NJBIZ Magazine featured the following article, "VPS making a business out of making house calls." Alex Binder, COO of Visiting Physician Services, discussed house calls as an alternative to traditional hospital-based medicine.
Visiting Physician Services was featured in an article entitled "Disruptive Innovators: Physician House Calls" in Healthcare Finance News. The article discusses the return of house calls and how they are a better model in caring for the elderly.
